Autophix ES910 vs Foxwell NT510
Has anyone had experience with the Autophix ES910 scan tool????
Based on the reviews on Amazon, the Autophix tools get better reviews than the Foxwell NT510. The Carly adapter reviews are not very good. I have been using the Carly software with a ELM327 adapter. Work OK up until about 6 months ago and now can not connect. The reviews on https://www.youcanic.com/bmw/scanners, shows that the Autophix ES910 is recommended as well as the Foxwell and Carly. Can Carly read or see each wheel speed sensor
Can the Carly for BMW Pro read or monitor each wheel speed sensor to see if there are any problems? I have not found it in the “Parameters” section.
I want to see how far apart the readings are to determine if I am loosing pulse counts because of contamination of the cog wheels. Thanks Wallyf |

Just wanted to bump this thread and give a heads up for those looking for a scan tool. Currently on sale for $122.37. Original price $203.95.
I was shopping for the Foxwell NT510 and stumbled on this sale. Hope this helps! https://www.ecstuning.com/b-schwaben...020sch01a~scf/

Battery state
just got a Foxwell and started using it - my car is a 2011 E92 335D with less than 40,000 miles - I believe that it is the original AGM battery - PO said so and he owned it from 2 years old. Can have only been use for 3 x 5mile local runs in the last 5 days are these results OK - starts first time on the button |

Any of you guys running INPA/ISTA/DIS?
I'll admit getting working versions of ISTA/DIS is a bit tricky but getting INPA to work isn't that bad and if you have an old laptop your just in for a KDCAN cable. I don't know if it's still up but bimmergeeks.net used to have the download for "standard tools" which includes INPA and their cables are nice, just get the cheaper of the two. I think it's "pro" and "expert" cables, whatever the case it's the cheaper one. A standalone scanner would have its advantages in ease of use and compact size, no arguing that, but even INPA is going to do almost everything you need, don't bother with DIS, that is kind of nightmare, not to mention quite antiquated. |
