MP3's not working on E90 2009 with Business navigation and CD Changer

Hey guys,
I have recently acquired a BMW E90 produced on 20-08-2009 with the following properties (see first picture from attachments). Problem is that mp3 cd's or dvd's don't work. When I insert an cd/dvd i get the following message (see rest of pictures from attachments). I tried inserting the cd in front cd player and also in the cd changer located in trunk and i got the same result

. I called the local BMW dealer and they told me that they must reprogram the unit to read mp3's. Is that true? Can it only be done at the service?

Apparently MP3's do work in my car. A friend of mine gave me a CD with mp3's, I tried it and it worked. Yes all of my combinations of making mp3 cs's have been unsuccessful so far. I have tried two different kinds of CD's (Verbatim and Estelle) and on two Cd writers(TsCorp and Matshita). What combination of CD drive and CD have u guys used to create your own mp3 cd's.

The ones I make from itunes work
I set the bit rate to 320 as a default.
Hp DV drives in the Desktop and Laptop.
As long as it burns it doesn't seem drive sensitive.
