Can code it out, not sure how tho....its the stage 2 lpfp drawing more current than the ekp(fuel pump module) is programmed for. It's a normal message once you upgrade to stage 2 unfortunately.

I had this code after installing the stage 2 pump on my late model 335i. I had someone code out the error but a couple months later the EKP module went bad. I believe it was due to stage 2 pump requiring more volts and the EKP was overheating. Not wanting to risk being stranded i put the original pump back in. BTW the stage 2 pump didn't help with my HPFP dipping below 2000 psi.

Yeah that's not the point of a upgraded LPFP, it is to make sure the lpfp sensor( ie the high pressure pump inlet) doesn't see less than ~55psi. If the hpfp is dipping too low it is either failing, can't keep up to what you're asking from it/you are running too high of an ethanol blend.

It's only going to "help" the hpfp if it was the stock lpfp that wasn't supplying enough pressure to the hpfp. If the stock lpfp is supplying enough pressure to the hpfp and the hpfp is still not keeping up, an upgraded lpfp will not help.

Since there is no LPFP sensor there is no way knowing if the LPFP is weak or the HPFP is weak. So it was simpler/cheaper to try the LPFP first. I am also running ethanol mix if that makes any difference.

I totally understand and makes sense. I didn't know the N55 didn't have an lpfp sensor, only knew about the z4 n54, when I first posted.
