Ok, Greg I take back the comment I made. It was uncalled for. You are not one of those. You have though annoyed me. I feel you were trying to goad me.

What you have to remember, on a forum, there are many different people's with many different ideas and different sense's of humor. Thus, law of averages states that every now and again someone gets the wrong end of the stick (a bit or slightly)

i was gonna rattle on about how you jumped into this post without actually reading what i had originaly said...top marks for enthusiasm, but to be honest, i can't be arsed.

Let's put it to bed now sunshine, jog on, put it down to experience.....and lets all play nicley

Trust me....this is the best option

As i said before, if you took offence, it wasn't intended.

Cant leave it on Matt, Does my nut. I like my wheel spin upto 70-80mph in this weather, far more fun. Quicker also in this weather than that massive power cut you get in damp weather.

I often have a wife and baby in the car...

Got the back end in a very naughty position last night after I nipped to Halfrauds (pressure washer needs fixing) - half funny, half alarming.

If anyone had said to me five years ago "in five years you will be sneaking out at any opportunity for a drive in a diesel automatic estate car" I would have laughed at them...

Are referring to Evo's timing of the 335d as 0.1 sec quicker than the 335i on their test circuit?

1. Do you think this is statistically significant?

2. Why do you think it would stop me laughing?

I don't care if my car is slower than a 335d (or an otter) that's not why I bought it.

Maybe if I got a dozen otters and hitched them up to some rudimentary reigns I could persuade them to tow my car around Bruntingthorpe.

I'd need some sort of lure, perhaps some fish on a winch.

If I could pull it off, I might be able to gain a tenth of a second and somehow justify my decision not to buy an an automatic diesel engined car.

What sort of fish would you use?

You could always offer them a fishy pocket, that gets most people moving

I think trout is a winner here. But what could I use to tow it?

A 335d would be the obvious answer, but then the otters would DESTROY it and eat the trout leaving me back at square one.

What I ideally need is a car that is 'a bit' faster than an otter (or group of otters reigned to a 335i).

I believe the phrase is 'otters pocket'.

As in:
