Replaced combox = no connected drive services
Replaced the telematiks combox on my e92 as it was failing.
Coded in, all seems ok but my connected drive services aren't working. Assume its because of different SIM and IMEI but how do I go about resolving? Called Connected drive support with SIM&IMEI number but they said it should have coded in to vin/VO. |

I don't think connected drive support will change the SIM/IMEI, at least not in the USA, so it just won't work unless you have the dealer install a new one. And even then it is difficult to make it happen.
One thing others have done is to literally open up the combox, desolder the SIM chip from the old one and solder it into the new one. https://cartechnology.co.uk/showthre...3254#pid363254 |
