Sarasota / Tampa Single Turbos

Is there anyone in the Sarasota / Bradenton / Tampa area with a single turbo that would be willing to take me for a ride?

I need to figure out if I'm going single or twins when my stockers let go.

Thanks in advance.

I know you asked for singles but if you want a ride in a MMP3 car, let me know. I'll be over in Bradenton in a week.

I live in Bradenton and I think in the next 6 months I'll be looking into upgrading my stockers, why'd you choose the MMP3s over like a single turbo like DocRace? And did you install the twins yourself?

Price. I got them used/refurbished for less than half the price of a Doc kit. MMPs and Pures have good reliability reviews from those who I've spoken with.

Money no object, I would've gone with a single kit like On3 or Speedtech. Doc Race and ADE are super nice but just too expensive.

And no, I did not install them myself but went with Midnite Tuning.

Yeah I understand the doc kits are beautifully designed but I want power and still keep reliability so to speak. So I've been looking at upgraded twins, how much are you putting down whp on pump and if you're running any E85 or not. I think when the time comes to change these out I will install them myself, seems simple enough honestly. Sorry for the many questions but I haven't really met anyone local that has upgraded turbo/s on an N54

625whp, full e85 port injection and we're not done tuning. To be honest, unless you're xi, you need dedicated drag radials to put down the power which makes the car no longer a dedicated daily driver. I have a daily map in the low/mid 500s still on E. I'd have to disconnect the AIC to go back to pump gas according to Wedge so, fuck that.

Yeah, I thought I was going to install them myself too but while doing research and preparing for the job, decided it was a bit too daunting in combination with setting up port injection and doing a wheel bearing so I took it to my trusted mechanic.

Those are really healthy numbers, but that car sounds like a beast, I think that's what I'm trying to do as well keep it in the 500's for DD but I heard that it does get harder to put that power down I'm leaning towards getting upgraded twins for reliability and Also that I don't need an extreme amount of power on it until I decide to track it I might do ST

I would definitely steer you towards a single if you've got the money. It's more of a headache to install but at double the price, not quite sure it's worth it. It also helps with traction counter-intuitively because torque isn't instant and overall should be lower.

Well I can always save up to get the ST kit but I'm thinking of going twins for now to keep my car somewhat reliable until I turn it into a weekend project etc. Plus I feel like if I can reach 600+whp with right fueling on twins and if I can somehow manage 500+whp on pump gas with it I'll be happy.
