iDrive and Aftermarket Headunit
I have a 2008 e93 335i with CCC iDrive and the iDrive functionality really useless and dated. I'd like to swap the stock headunit with a Pioneer Apple CarPlay headunit and retain iDrive, like a 2 screen setup. Anybody know if this is possible, I haven't been able to find any other people that have done this, but my searching skills are less than perfect, so I could have easily missed it. Thanks!

I may be biased since I sell CIC kits and have a NBT Evo in my car but really nothing compares to an OEM system. |

I had a 2din head unit for a couple years when I first got my car.
That part is doable, but you definitely cannot keep idrive. You'd have a dead screen, since the idrive screen is driven by a 2din head unit in the same spot where you would put the aftermarket. Best bet is an avin or a CIC / NBT upgrade |
