Gap insurance

Been looking at online gap insurance products. Interested in either return to invoice or replacement vehicle. There are loads on offer and all much cheaper than main dealer prices - any recommendations or ones to steer clear of?

Steer clear of the ones sold by dealers....... they are way to expensive.

Try www.click4gap.co.uk

Don't buy straight away, after about 7 days they offer a further discount

Gap insurance from the bmw dealer was only $1 extra a month for me. Usually I dont take any dealer offered stuff, but I took this.

Good intel Red! They were one of the ones I got an online quote from - I take it you used them when you got the M3?

Of course I will try that Darkeeboy - the online quotes from the 2 suggestions from Paul and Pete are lesss than half the price the dealer is quoting. Not sure if they will want to come down to that level but I will ask if I make the purchase!

Cheers guys for the input.

I used car2cover.co.uk and have super gap which covers up to the list price of a new car, I needed this as the car I bought had a £10k discount from new and normal gap would have left me short.

Cheers Steve. I am chaging both our cars at the moment. I will be getting mine first and was looking at one hence the thread. Have decided against that one but the research means that I know where to go to get reasonably priced RTI cover when I buy. Might try to talk the Audi dealer down to a sensible price when we get the new family car in December

Now worries mate - I have BMW cover on the M3 as click4gap don't cover if the invoice value is over £50k - BlueBell BMW did me a good price

I used them on my last 2 cars and a couple of colleauges at work have used them. The discount trick has worked every time. Used to be an extra 10% but a work colleague got an extra tenner a few weeks ago, but her policy was for a Seat Ibiza and the policy was only about £70 anyway so the tenner was better than 10%.
