BTW, I purchased the MHD Tuner and went with Stage 1+ for now. I purchased a Cobb charge pipe which fit easy, I also put on 4" ECS exhaust tips (my black tips looked bad). This extra boost is making the rear hop even more noticeable.

Video of my son driving after I put on the charge pipe.

Cheers!

I ordered these as well. I'm going to tackle them with the Bilstein B12 cup kit, m3 front lower control arms, and these rear subframe inserts. Hopefully the car feels more planted and responsive!

Question for the Group of IS Folks:

I have a stock steering wheel with paddles (DCT). I love the paddles but want to go with Alcantara. Does anyone have a good source for said alcantara steering wheel with paddles? Is the gent from Ukraine on eBay the only source

Thanks in advance for insight.

Cheers,

Phil

Anyone else have rusted rotors? I would have thought OEM would be anti-rust. Should I replace with OEM or aftermarket?

Just googled it...very impressive. You can customize any steering wheel you want! I am going with Alcantara with big silver paddles, M stiching and thats it. Simple, clean is my style . Thanks for the heads up!

Just googled their website. Thanks, the cowl delete filters look great with the charcoal second stage filter option available:

Yes but have not done much testing. Going to the drag strip tomorrow so I'll be able to gage it better after some runs.

I flashed mine last week and it has been amazing so far. Stage 3 makes the gear changes even better and the new feature released to disable creep has been my favorite.

Here is a thread of some other people's experience:

Anyone knows if the shift knob on the 6 spd 335is is attached to the boot?

My shift knob is showing signs of aging, and needs to be replaced, and someone is selling just the knob.

You should be able to tuck it under, but if needed maybe a little glue at the very top will help

Who here has upgraded their inlets with stockers? Is the effort worth it?

LMB335IS I know you did yours but are you on stock turbos still?

Has anyone attempted to get these taken care of by BMW in either warranty or recall, and had any luck? The local dealer told me IF (big if) BMW were to retroactively reimburse me if I have them done, it would need to have been done by BMW.

Fun fact: In Canada they want $515 each for these suckers.
Ya I actually went to dealership to get walnut blasting and blower motor wire recall done, talked to my SA and told her I know for sure I needed new injectors. Had difficult startups and smelled of rich fuel from the exhaust. Mines a '11 btw and 10 year warranties are up in September for me fyi. But ya she completely hooked me up, had 1 injector fail and another was pretty bad but got 6 brand new index 12 because I had the old style index 8 I think and didn't charge me a diagnostic fee either. She also price matched a local shop for the walnut blasting so I gave her a nice tip.

Try the tip first if you need to

I did on stockers and it made a difference. My trap speeds went up. I'm on Pure 600's now

Nice, did you go 1.75" with stock then upgrade to 2" with the 600's or keep 2" the whole time? I'm only planning on getting the DD's when mine go out.

Was wondering too did you have a hard time with them fitting and staying on the small stock turbo inlet lip there? Thanks LMB

2" the whole time. Inlets in general are PITA to install, at least the rear. I use hairspray. When it's wet it acts as a lubricant and dries sticky which helps to hold it in place on the lip while you crank down on the clamp. I had my son helping me and two pairs of hands definitely helps keeping everything aligned and square on the lip while getting it clamped down.

Lol I haven't heard of using hairspray before, cool trick.

Ya it's the rear one that is making me hesitant of even doing it, and by myself I'm still leaning to get 1.75" and just get a new 2" set when I upgrade turbos, and probably get rid of my cobb catted dp's then also. Not sure yet what I want to do though.. I got a new CF intake being made in Japan right now so wanna match the connection point up nicely there when I put that on haha

There are companies that make adapters from 1.75 inlets to 2" turbos. I don't know if that 0.25 is a big deal. But it sounds better than getting new inlets.
