My car is a rear wheel drive. I drove through unplowed blocks last year with BLIZZAK lm25. Drove through on a roll. Not a stop and go. I know I would of gotten stuck if I stopped. But didnt loose any tracking on a roll
With this being said, you guys who are searching for the 18" staggered setups might want to start searching for 17" square. Winter mode is winter mode -- no use in trying to make your car look good.

With the temps being the way they are, here's to hoping my all-season tires will make it through the winter.

I'm on stock rft's with 10k miles - so I can either

1) staggered all seasons (dws)
2) square winter(lm-60's)
3) given the issue with the 18"s square go with square 17's.

I have to do something because the car is not drivable if it snows currently.

or just say fuck it and rock them throughout the winter like last year

not getting new wheels till summer so Stock 193's

I hope this winter is like the weather we had in November. Snow sucks. One good thing that I can say is that since I just bought a nice snow blower, I probably won't get to use it much! I might throw some nitrous in it. Take the bottle out of my car and plumb a setup to the snow blower!!!haha

For the guys with coil overs who raise them for the winter....Are you getting an alignment or not worried for the winter? Do you mark the position on where you started from so you can bring the car back down to the exact point in the spring?

To my understanding, you always have to re-align any time you touch your coils.

I was thinking about it, but with the way the weather's been, I'm thinking I'll be ok with my conti dws squared 225/40/18 on my 189's. What do you guys think?

I use 17" Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D Performance Snows. Great handling in the snow and dry pavement. I highly recommend!

To my knowledge, Conti DWS perform great in the snow. You're definitely good to go, especially with XI.

I survived last winter on almost bald stock Conti A/S tires and still made my way around and got out of snow piles.
