20 inch wheels with the stock sport package suspension

Hey all, newb here. Does anybody have any photos of a e92 coupe with 20's and the stock sport package springs / shocks? I'm thinking about getting a set, but I want to see how the wheel gap looks first. I appreciate the help everybody! Thanks!

When rims are sized properly, the overall diameter is the same, be it 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 24. So maybe you really mean you want to see a 20 on a E92? The gap should be no different unless there's some sort of illusion?

20's are cheap, but imho have a serious disadvantage out on the road, that's 2" less sidewall. I think the sidewalls are already pretty slim on a 255/35-18.

Here of pic of my car when I had 20" iforged wheels on it with sport suspension. Like John said the over all diameter is about the same. Disadvantage is the price for 20" tires and the lack of side wall. I had a blowout at 70 mph on the highway that scared the crap out of me. Sold the 20" for a nice set of 18" I learned my lesson.

It's hard to actually tell those are 20's...about the only reference would be the brake rotors, they look small relative to the wheels. Do like that style though!

I never understood the point of huge rims/ ultra low sidewalls.

IMO

1. They look stupid.
2, The screw up the handling.
3. They make the car ride like a conestoga wagon
4, The rims are very prone to damage.
5. The tires are very prone to damage.

So what exactly is the point?

I have the OEM 230 style 19" and IMO that's about as big as I would go on a car like this. They look great, just be prepared to pay to play when it comes time to buy new tires.
225/35/19 fronts and 255/30/19 rears = Very expensive replacements. lol
The handling is great though

You have got to drop it low if you want 20s to look right. The size of the fender gap appears exaggerated when you use ultra low profile tires.

Actually its proven going with very small sidewalls Like 20" for a 3 series will ruin your handling...I think you need to do some reading. And yeah it looks great (if you live in the ghetto)

Top Gear also did a test were going with a smaller sidewall helped to a point as soon as they started going with 35, 30 sidewalls the handling got a whole lot worse. That's why you see nice beefy tires on a M3 with 19" rims.
