Engine malfunction and loose hose

Got an engine malfunction on the idrive. Pulled the code 2c57 and looked under the hood.
Saw this hose hanging down in the manifold just hanging not connected to anything.
Read that it goes to the vaccum pump. Anyone have an idea where to connect it to? Tried but i couldnt locate anything Name: Vacuum line.JPG.jpg

I believe it's an N55 engine

2C57: Charge-air pressure control, lower value: Boost pressure too low. Potential problem source(s):- Boost-pressure sensor defective- Defective electropneumatic pressure converter in wastegate valve- Wastegate valve is defective (seized in open position)- Air-induction tract between turbocharger and intake-air plenum has leak.

Which hose are you referring to? The thin black plastic one? That is a vacuum line and it appears to be out of place on the intake manifold side of the engine where it should connect to the mechanical vacuum pump. Perhaps it has been pulled up out of the pump, which is underneath the intake manifold at the front of the engine.

Yes it goes right in between the manifold down into part of the block beside the alternator and the purge valve .

Scroll down to the HPFP: https://www.e90post.com/forums/showt...=437693&page=2

It goes on the smaller black barbed nipple. If you look down between the intake manifold runners, you will see it. Lube the rubber hose and you might be able to push it back on with some long nose pliers.

Some clown worked on the car last by the looks of it with the cable tie.

Alternatively, with the engine idling you should be able to hear the hissing noise coming from the nipple. It sounds like a kid making a long farting raspberry sound actually
