Fluctuating volume if car door open whilst radio/cd is on...

Hi,

Bit of a strange one this and has been happening intermittently over the past 6 months or so. It would appear that if I open the drivers door and put the radio/cd on then I get fluctuating volume whereby it can increase or decrease volume rapidly. I don't seem to get it, and haven't for a while until today, if I get in the car, close the door and then start the radio/cd. At first I thought it might be the steering wheel control but it appears to correlate with the door being open.....any ideas?

Maybe it has something to do with the speed sensitive volume control, open the door and the sensor throws a wobbly
