Muffler delete.
i am considering doing a muffler delete on my 2006 325i but iv been hearing mixed opinions. alot of people say they have heard it and it is very loud and raspy. i looked on youtube for them and i couldnt really tell how loud it was or if it was raspy or not. i just dont want my car to sounds broke, like the muffler fell or something. if anyone can help me out with the tone and volume it would be awesome. i want my exhaust to sound very deep. any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

ps: if i could get any sound out of the car i would like my old g35 coupe. it had a low roar with light throttle but if you really gassed it, it screamed with a very "wide open" sound. it didnt sound restricted or raspy. along these lines would be my dream...

There's no question doin a muffler delete is louder than amny performance mufflers, but by no means is it raspy!! I wasa shocked and amazed at how deep and throaty it sounds. It definetely does NOT sound like a car without a muffler. It sounds like a great performance exhaust. Like I did, you really have to act on faith and try it. The worst you're out is a hundred bucks to try it. You can always put the stock unit back on.
I have yet to hear from someone on these boards that did it and didn't like it.

+1!! It is not bad @ all. It sounds pretty much exactly like an Eisenmann Exhaust.
