How to install sidemarkers?

Ok, my search came back with nothing, but how do I remove the OEM sidemarkers (E92 335i, MY 2008) so I can install my color-matched ones? I was told to push on them from the outside and not pry from the back. I feel like I'm going to damage my bumper. The OEM ones are in there pretty good.

Help please!

Thanks,
Jason

I did mine by heating them with a hair dryer for 10 minutes... then the adhesive just sort of turns to gum. Good luck!

I just put a flathead screwdriver behind the reflector and twisted it like the instructions said. It popped out but i had the scrape some of the goo afterwards.

Look like op is looking to replace the side bumper reflectors, NOT side markers. Those are the ones on the fender that light up

The heat gun tip is the solution.

Just be patient and gentle....when i installed mine, I thought I would break the plastic bumper.

One way to do it is carefully use a flat head screw driver to pry between the reflector and bumper. You have to do this carefully as you can bend or break the plastic bumper but if done correctly, you can pry it right off. Then just peel off the OEM tape.

Dont use a flathead...use a THIN butter knife..works much better. And you won't get a dimple on your fender because the butter knife gives more easily.

The key is to WORK IT...it will give eventually. Use lots of heat and goo gone - Like go overboard with the shit.
