Now I just gotta get you to come and polish out some of scratches that we didn't have time to do last night.

For those that in and around DC, get David to detail your car too. He is unbelievably dedicated to ensuring that he does a good job. Let's just say he took his time last night to make sure everything was right.

Life sucks without a garage. I spent a couple of hours on Saturday washing my car and it looked spectacular afterwards. We have a sprinkler system and I forgot to turn them off -- they are set to go on on Sundays. So on Sunday morning I got up to see that the side of my car had water drops along it. Not wanting to waste my effort from the day before, I went out, dried off the water (luckily was still very early and had not dried) and all was good. Then, this morning... rain? Ugh. I thought it wasn't supposed to rain until at least Wednesday evening. Bummer. My car was clean only for a few hours, and I never really got to drive it while clean.

BTW, I need to sign up for Shim's services sometime in the next month or so... maybe just before the October meet, whenever we do that. I imagine you'll be busy prepping cars for that meet, Shim, so hopefully I'll be able to schedule some time with you!

So, now I pissed that I didn't tell the dealer not to wash my car after the service on Tuesday.

Oh well. Car still looks good, but some very light scratches. You would think they would be a bit more careful, knowing that they're washing so many more expensive cars than mine. Oh wait, maybe the take better care of the 6 and 7's and not the lowly 3's.

Shim's a bonafide genius with a Porter Cable

I can say this verifiably as the latest beneficiary of Shim's Zaino DC metro service.

I dropped my car off at Shim's pad on Friday afternoon and I picked it up this evening. Wanted to give the maestro ample time to do his thing. Wow! I am amazed at the results. To put it into perspective, we left Shim's place after dark and on the way back my wife (who was driving behind me) commented on how clearly she can see her reflection on the back of the car at a moderate distance. Like I said, awesome stuff.

Anyways, I'll let some pics do the talking. I have no doubt whatsoever in contracting out my car detailing to Shim. He puts in a lot of dedication and pride into his work and it shows it. Thanks Shim, for pimping my ride

btw my car was absolutely filthy after my FL road trip...

Its just the standard package, right? I'm not well versed in Zainoese. I know I did the claybar though.

Tosh, I did the same thing to his car (Z6>Z5pro>Z6>Z2pro>Z8). I was actually able to take some good daylight pictures! I wish I could have taken some of your Monaco Blue E90.

I used the PC to apply sealant. I polished a few spots with Menzerna Final Polish II on a white pad.

So, I washed my car today. Good news is that it still looks good, water beads and the shine is, well, amazing. Bad news is that I noticed very light scratch marks on the door panels. Since I'm sure it wasn't me

I can only surmise it was the dealer (when they washed my car after the service on Tuesday).

David, are you free sometime next week to have a look to see what you can do?
