Ya, us xi guys are always going to fall short on the 60-130s even though 9.74 is pretty nice. Only hope we have are for good 1/4 and 1/8 et. We unfortunately are always gonna trap 2 or 3 mph less in the 1/4 than an equal i guy.

Mike, email me Terry's file and I'll update the list.
I know you posted everything in post #256, but I need the file to make sure it's legit.

Hey guys, ordered a P-Box and looking forward to doing some testing!

60-130s are a real problem for most. Curious how you guys pull this off on public roads? I see vids of people running on the toll roads here in SoCal (claiming "Mexico") quite often, but I see police cars on the toll roads all that time. Obviously a Passport/V1 is an absolute must have. That still doesn't eliminate the possibility that laser is off. Then good luck staying out of jail/getting your car out of impound.

Also, can we include an n54 database here of a couiple other performance measures...such as 0-60, 0-100, 30-80, 50-80, etc... ??? I bet activity/interest here would increase significantly.

I don't want to create a lot of additional work for those responsible for verifying files. In fact for anything other than 60-130, perhaps we could agree on simply posting a picture of the P-Box output.

What do you guys think?

IDK about everyone else, but screening an area beforehand, doing it at a low traffic time, and going for it at times when it's safe and others aren't around are prerequisites in my book.

Also, I honestly don't believe that adding things like 0-60, 50-80, etc are going to increase the popularity, because IMO, the popularity really has everything to do with the fact that the Pboxes aren't cheap to acquire for most (think of all the mod things you could buy with $500), and that you need to meet some prerequisites and have the time verified. Also, not to mention the fact that the popular test everywhere else is 60-130, making it easier to compare against different types of cars, and that a 60-130 run best represents what a real world run would encompass. And frankly, other popular tests are going the other way...100-150 runs and 100-200 runs...given the insanely high HP monsters that practically litter the streets these days, 100-150 is over pretty quickly for 1000+whp cars.

I initially tried finding spots on Google Maps, finally just ended up taking different routes to work and such with the vbox turned on and when I saw a straight I would just watch the distance and elevation and quickly calculate the slope for ~1/2 mile.

Found a few good spots, after that it's simply a matter of finding a time with low traffic, you only need a very brief amount of time for a run (under 20 seconds with braking). Best spots were on the interstates and would be separated directions with a barrier in the median (no ability for a cruiser to cross-over), no on/off ramps and no overpasses.

If you're lucky enough to have any federal land around then the LEO patrols are next to nothing and federal workers usually go home early

Any other measurements on the vbox are kind of "eh", most people just post the vbox screen after a run. I only do logs for 1/4 and 60-130, I have found that 50-80 and 60-90 are useful on my commute for tweaking things, usually pretty easy to find a good break in traffic to do those without looking odd. Not nearly as accurate but still useful for me.

looks like the list in this thread isn't getting updated. But my results were added to the big list on m3 post: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=630463

If the list on this forum doesn't get updated, it should probably be taken down or merged with the list on m3post.

Strange. I never received an email from you until the other day when you sent the email to Drew and then copied me.
I won't update the list unless I get the file emailed to me.

List updated. Congrats on the great time Shiv.

Thanks Craig. Also, it may be useful to note the other cars in the list with upgraded turbos. Specifically dzennos which ran RB turbos. Just a thought.

Just testing a new Cobb map for my RB turbos for a 50/50 93/E85 mix, no meth.

Car: E92 335i 6MT, Quaife LSD, RB turbos, COBB Stg 3 from PTF, Wagner FMIC, Wagner 3" DPs, Milltek catback exhaust, STETT CP, Forge DV, AFE Stage 2 DCI with scoops, HPF Feramic Stage 2 clutch, BMS CDV

To demonstrate the enormous torque of the RB turbos, I did the test in just 1 gear (4th gear) in 8.64 seconds....

I have not sent any file, as I will improve on this time for sure in a 3+4th gear run, and it was with a full tank of gas as well, so I'll try to get under 8 seconds or as close to as possible before I send a file to Mr. 5. But here's the screenshot from Performance Tools

Thanks, yes well, the RB turbos really work when they get north of 18 psi

It was quite fast before, now my friends call it the torque beast....
