Lightbulb Help needed on wear and tear coverage

Hey guys,

I can prolly find this answer on my lease agreement but will be inbetween meetings today so any help I can get on here would be greatly appreciated and time and life-saver.

Long story short,
stone-chipped windshield caused a crack and needs immediate replacement.
Purchased the Excess wear and tear & Protection when vehicle was leased.

Hopefully, I can get an answer from someone who was in a similar situation.

The ppl at my dealership are a bunch of snobs and just told me to contact my insurance for deductible option and they have also conveniently given me a qoute of $1700 for parts and labour in total cost of replacement!!!!!!! RIDICULOUS!!!!!! Given the fact that I will be out of this lease by DEC 2013. and will be leasing another vehicle from the same dealership.
PLEASE HELP!!
Yours truly,
stone-chipped and confused

In all honesty, stone chips on windshield are not considered part of wear and tear...

Lots of threads about what to do for stone chips...just order the glass from BMW and have it replaced at Apple Autoglass or something. The high price is also because they need to replace al your sensors (the sensor is behind the rear view mirror which is adhered to the glass).

same thing happened to me. took it to apple autoglass they replaced the windshield (with a certified bmw one since bmw is so anal about leased cars) for ~~400 labour included. didnt know you had to replace the sensors too...they probbaly didnt do that. upside is the one they replaced has a tint on the top whereas my original didnt. =/

go through insurance - if you have comprehensive, then just pay the deductible...the only thing is does a comprehensive claim go against you in autoplus+
