2006-08 e90 Navigation/Sound system not working
My CCC iDrive/Navigation/Sound stopped working.. at first the screen started resetting then it faded and went black.
The fan and the lights on the navigation/CD drive won't stop spinning and I had to pull the fuse because it was causing a error code 2ED3 for power management. I've looked all over the forums and I bought a fiber optic jumper to try to eliminate the amp or blue tooth tCU but I'm not getting any fiber optic light either of their green wires so I believe it's not sending any signals from the navigation drive. my question is.. is it the navigation drive or screen? or both and I do know I need to have a new part coded but I'm completely lost on which unit needs replacing. please help and thank you guys. |

Its the CCC (navigation drive). The screens rarely go out and when they do rebooting is not a symptom. The rebooting indicates the CCC as that is where the sound also comes from.

okay thanks for the reply.. I was almost sure it was the DVD unit but it is one of the most expensive parts related to the navigation system so I needed to be correct on this one.
Besides that this car runs perfect, engine is extremely smooth at idle and very powerful for an NA 6 cyl the tranny is not the smoothest and has a hard 2nd to 1st down shift but that's the only problem I can find with the drive train so far. |

As stated its a common thing for the CCC drive to fail. Happened on my fathers so we took the opportunity to upgrade to CIC(the updated 09+ unit)
