whats the average lifespan of an engine mount on these things?

just out of curiosity, when do they typically tend to fatigue? i just hit 68k on my car today.

Depends on a few factors, but if you're getting a lot of drive train chatter and vibration, replace it.

Almost 230k mi. Original engine/tranny mounts. They look a little dry but they work well.

Can we use E9X M3 mounts as the E36/46 guys can or do we have a different design? 335is? I apologize if this has been answered before.

We use the 335i/is mounts. The 335is Pass side engine mount is actually upgraded/uprated - so use that when you are replacing yours.

e90Pilot, what is your oil life monitor doing. Can you reset it past 0 miles after an oil change?

100,000 miles is generally a good interval, which is the case for most of the bushings on the car.
