How to fix cracked seal above windshield?

Hello everyone,

I recently got a vinyl roof wrap installed, and now the weather stripping has cracked right where the roof rail meets the windshield seal. Will this be a problem for leakage? If so, how would you recommend I deal with it? The vinyl guy recommends that I fill it with clear silicone, but I'm worried that may interfere with drainage. Please let me know what you guys think

Thanks in advance

Looks like an E90? If it's anything like an E92 then it's somewhat easily replaceable and cheap. One difference I know of is that E92s don't have the side trim pieces and the rubber seal wraps down the sides, I believe on E90s it's just a strip across the top.

Thanks! Yeah it is an E90. The thing is though it seems like the roof rail that runs parallel with the length of the car shifted back slightly, so there might still be a gap even if I replace the front strip that lines the top of the windshield. What do you think?

You should be able to push it forward by pushing on the end at the back of the roof. The clips can slide in the trim piece. If it won't slide, you may have to pop it off and reposition the clips so it snaps back in the right location. Replace any broken clips.
