Forgot to add. I went to the dealer to see if it was my turbos/wastegates for a warranty replacement. According to them, they did a smoketest. I am also hitting target boost according to Cobb logs. I seem to just have a longer delay than usual hitting boost. The rattle is within normal limits, and since they couldn't figure out what I was complaining about, I ended up not having to pay any diagnostic fees luckily. I am at 73k so I guess I could just replace all my vacuum lines anyway, and go from there. When I have time I am going to pull my plugs to see if any are fouled. I just don't want to be chasing a problem by basically blindly replacing something hoping it fixes it.

I'll get E30 on the nose next time I fill and see if that does anything. At this point it looks like the Walbro options are pretty tried and true, so unless there are huge cost issues that I don't know of, that will be the route I take from here. Meth just scares me as a fueling solution, gotta be honest.
I agree. Meth is obviously great, mine is a DD so I just don't see meth as being a solution for a daily, maybe I'm wrong.

Did you ever solve this mystery? I have the same thing, coincidently it happened after I removed my dp fix and reinstalled cobb stage 2. I ran stage 2 up until last week, until I needed to pass emissions, and never had a problem while on stage 2 or stock with the dp fix. Only now that I'm back on stage 2, as soon as I took the dp fix out. I'm only getting the 2nd cat code.

Tweaking Cobb File

Has anyone tweaked their cobb files especially for the Aggressive Stage 1 with FMIC? If so is there anyway I can try it and see what difference it makes on my car? Appreciate it.

Is it normal to have 3-5 degree of post shift timing corrections?

Yes. But a lot of tuners taper off the load above 5500 rpm or so to avoid this.

Just installed Stage 1 Sport Map on my 335is and ran this log from gears 1-3 at WOT.

Can anyone please tell me if things are normal or is there anything wrong? Thanks.

http://www.datazap.me/u/moss/1-3-201...15-16-17-18-19

I'm a little concerned with the timing correction in Cyl 4-6 toward the end of my run but it looks like it is caused my the boost spikes when I'm shifting. Any way to correct this?

If you just take a map customised on another car you will likely end up with problems. The whole point of a pro tune is to reactively adjust parameters depending on how your car behaves.

So you can either read around the forums and gain enough knowledge on tuning to tweak your own map or pay for a pro tune.

Sometimes it works, most of the time it doesnt, and it may require additional PID adjustments if you know how to use the PIDs. The worse thing to do is compensate the corrections using wgdc which will deteriorate mid-upper power

Money is not the issue...its just that cobb is much more expensive than jb4 and jb4 is muchhh more supportive!

"Does not feel as fast" as what? Your question is impossible to answer as currently phrased.

Your COBB does not feel as fast as...........? ... a civic? ... a stock 335? ... a La Ferrari?

I'd have to say it's probably because #1 you're running the lowest Stage possible #2 it's an OTS map... are you sure you installed it correctly?

LOL

lol, so let me emphasize on the fast relative to comment.

i was running a JB4 map 1, but the car was experiencing misfires, i sold the JB4
got a Cobb v3 and a new set of NGK iridium, the COB runs smooth but dose not feel as fast as the JB4 even with occasional misfires.

As mentioned, Stage 1 isn't a very powerful map, intentionally. If you want to reliably (remember those misfires?) run a more aggressive map you should consider a larger FMIC, intake, and downpipes.
