DDE remanufactured
Hi Everyone,
Has anyone had any experience sending the DDE Control unit to these guys http://www.ecutesting.com and have it tested and reprogrammed? Changed fuel injectors, glow plugs, MAF sensor, urea active tank. Still have a NOX Sensor code and smooth running error cylinder 3. Having CBU done this week and if this doesnt work to clear the cylinder 3 issue then it must be a DDE Control unit issue. Dont want to spend $2000 on a new one!! If need to purchase a new one any ideas to get a deal? any advice would be appreciated |

+ 1 I bought from car-part.com and ebay no issues. May be some members on this board looking to sell now that OBD flash is available.

The M57 equipped X5 is also a donor for the M57 equipped 335D. I did the exact opposite about 4 months ago. I had a spare purchased from a guy who totaled his 335D a couple yrs ago. I had intended to put a different tune on it for my 335D. I ended up having it cloned to my X5 VIN and tuned to JR 2.8. The programming and tune is specific to the X5 though.

About DDE getting it tuned... I’m looking to do the BPC stage 2 while keeping the emmision parts in tact And because I’m so fortunate to live in the republic of California so in essence is probably better to just keep my current stock DDE and just purchase another one that eventually will be flashed to the BPC stage 2 then right That way when inspection and smog comes around all I have to do is just switch them up does that sound about right or is there another easier way |

Found another DDE remanufacturer Kassel Performance. Not sure if anyone has tried them either.
