Strut mount alignment pin removal

I’m trying to correct a camber issue I have. Passenger side is at -1.0 while the drivers side is at -1.6 I’ve heard we can remove these pins on the strut tops for more negative camber. If I remove the pin on the passenger side, will I be able to get the camber closer to the drivers side?

yes, but isn't that the shop job? part of a proper alignment when they saw those numbers, I would lean to -1 symmetry for better overall dd tire wear

IIRC pulling the alignment pins allows for 0.4 more negative camber. How are you at -1.6 with the pins still in? I had -0.9 camber with stock wishbones and pins removed.

I say remove the pins and get the adjustability you need.

Also, my pins look like that and don't have the 3mm hexagonal hole in the top for an allen key. How are we supposed to pull them? They look integrated into the strut top.

The ones on my new strut tops are also integrated. Would take grinding them off or drilling them out. I’m hoping the slight lowering of ProKit springs plus M3 arms gives me a degree and a half or more so I’m going to leave mine alone for now.

ALL original and replacement mounts have them and are meant to be punched out, take a few smacks but ez with a hammer and pin punch. any car with those still in after all these miles on the chassis has never been properly aligned unless you are lucky with your chassis

These are the ones on the brand new replacement top hats that I’m talking about. Don't know about the 15yr-old oem ones on the car currently but these new ones definitely won’t just hammer out. Would absolutely take a grinder or a drill.

I cut mine of with a hacksaw and filed smooth. Of course I had the entire strut assy out of the car to do that.
