I think there will be some advantages over brembos especially if m sport calipers are used with large 370mm rotors. First of all it will be cheaper, more easier to get spare parts (rotors, pads), will have oem look (these will be available in blue and red colors with m logo), larger rotors (cheap brembo is 355mm, oem - 370mm). Also rear 2 piston calipers will be released with 345mm rotors, nice to make them fitted as well.
Personally I am in and will purchase a set if everything is settled. It would be very nice visual upgrade to have oem blue or red 4/2 piston calipers with these huge rotors as well as increase in stopping power.

I really hope they are not red or blue and don't have the M logo...I want this finish so I can do my own powdercoat or have a shop

I think Harold said the calipers will work with the E90 rotors, but other options will be available... I just want to get these before April because this is when race season starts.

So other than weight what are the benefits of this newer caliper vs the calipers on my e90 now? Our existing calipers are 4 piston right?

We will be doing testing in the next 2 weeks, both on and off the race track.

More fluid capacity, stiffer caliper design, better and consistent pedal feel, easier pad changes...etc.

No, the E90's have a single piston front and rear floating caliper.

This is the only finish available as of now. There is a possibility of different colors, but that will be much later down the road as they become available.
