Plasti Dipped wheels too light?

I plasti dipped my wheels yesterday and did 6 coats of matte black and 4 of metalizer and I didnt like how they turned out. I feel like it doesnt match or its to light. Should I put a few more coats of matte black and to give it a more darker look? Before I put the coats of metalizer it looked pretty good.

FINAL PIC.

It's less than a shine. Your wheels have a slight shine with really means a sheen. The matte finish does not have any shine or luster. Since you put the metalizer, the little flakes that are in paint made it have a slight luster.

In my opinion - no. Bimmers really don't look good to me when the rims are matte, maybe if the whole car is matte finish too.

I plastidipped my Jeep Wrangler and left it in a matte finish since it looks better with the black matte finish on the roof.

Yeah I'll spray 2 coats of Matte on top of this and maybe 1 quick spray of metalizer to get it a bit darker for a better look. I'll post pics soon. Thanks for eveyones input!

Heard bad things about glossifier how it gets dirty quick and peels easily. I'm going to do 2 coats of black plasti and post another pic.

Hmmm... I'm planning on dipping my wheels tomorrow and was thinking of putting a clear coat on them, we'll see how it turns out. Good luck on yours

Will the plasti dip retain its reversible properties if you apply clear coat? i.e. do you know if you'll still be able to peel it off?

Yes, you can still take it off after applying the glossifier.

I don't see why it wouldn't. The layer between the plastidip and the wheel itself doesn't change with clear coat so it should come right off.

Ahh, I thought you were going to apply actual clear coat (not glossifier). That was a question that was raised a while ago on the MB forums, so I was curious to find out

That's what I figured as well. I guess I need to test it out on something
