Cobb AP Stg1 w/ alarmingly high boost?

Just installed my AP and loaded Stage 1 ST Aggressive.

For some reason when I go through the accessport and check current flash, it says Stage 1 ST Sport. I'll reflash tonight and see if I just picked the wrong one by accident.

When running the Boost monitor and doing a couple of pulls I noticed it regularly surging up to 17/18+ psi, peaking at 18.8 on a near WOT pull.

The car doesn't FEEL like it's running that much, and surely it's too much for a stock N54 from what I read around the board... so what gives? isn't that boost monitor supposed to be very accurate?

What peak boost should I expect to see for Stage 1 Aggressive w/ no other mods?

Using v4.01 map.

You need to do a real log. That boost may be inflated because of throttle closure or boost spikes during a shift. The car will not "overboost".

15-17 PSI Tapering to 12-13 by redline is normal.

read this, it helps to understand logging, and how to read your results.

thanks for that. I will do logging and come back with my results...

I was just worried that I'm gonna blow the thing up w/ readings in the 18's.

want to do the logging, but currently afraid to even do a log pull as it peaks at actually over 20psi (when looking at Live monitor - Boost psi).. this is STAGE 1 with ZERO mods other than the AP, why is boost showing so high?

dont worry... thats peak boost for a fraction or on gear change, try searching for logs on cobb stage 1 and you will see the boost curve...
