Applied this to the headlights after restoring them:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Seems like a quality product, supposed to last for a year.

Side note: I also have a 330i, I expected to find all the same parts here in the rear of the 325. I knew the brake disks and calipers were smaller, but I didn't realize the axles, rear knuckle, wheel bearings and abs sensor/ring are also different. On the 330i the tone ring is built into the wheel bearing race rather than the toothed CV joint wheel on the 325i (and I believe 328i). |

need some help
can anyone help me out. I got no vacuum leaks or anything. I got this bov and it stays open at steady idle and then it closes real quick then opens and let's the pressure out when I release the gas pedal. I've been reading a lot people are saying it's supposed to be closed at idle and some say it can be open but idk. it came with this extra spring that's a little bit thicker should I put this one in?
and I also am running my silicone vacuum line from my manifold to the bov, could that cause a problem getting air through since it's not the bigger vacuum hose that was supposed to come with the kit (mines didn't come with one). |

Got one! $150 CAD, or about $3. Included a free milkshake lol
Ordering new valves and seals. What else should I do while the intake is off?

Clean it thoroughly. I've seen some weird shit inside junkyard intakes, tools, leaves, balls of grease, disa valve shafts. Don't want any of that garbage going into the engine.

It's 5DF0 and 5DF1 (DSC hydraulic pump, and pump connector respectively). Looks like it'll be a nightmare to swap out, and the units (even refurbished) are expensive.

Did my headlight wiring with brush on electrical insulation but wasn't satisfied with the results.. so I went ahead and took out the connector and put heat shrink on every cable pin by pin as far as I could go without removing the headlight. Now having constant short circuit codes for the two sides adaptive headlight motors

Installed a P3 gauge. In the 328i it can show coolant temp, oil temp, battery voltage, EGT's, 0-60 time, as well as scan for codes.

Props, that must've not been fun to do in the driveway on stands. I remember working on cars in my parents' gravel driveway, never again.

OPG and FMIC easy - those damn dp`s.......... I`ve got to drop the frame again as after 4 hours of trying to get the clamps to engage I just tightened them up and now they rub on cold starts and left hand turns (RHD Car). In case anyone doing the job read this - the dp to turbo bit on my new dp`s was a bit thicker so I had to widen the girth of the clamps a bit. Just used some pliers. What`s the hardest job you did on the drive dude? Last edited by Chapperss; 08-28-2021 at 04:56 PM.. |
