Thanks ct. Maybe it's something with T-mobile...they definitely have a short list of BMW certified phones. That or I'm not pairing the KRZR correctly, but I'm following the same procedure as my V330, which works fine

BimmerFUD, Do u have the latest s/w release from BMW? My car was an April production with the 3rd gen I-drive. I believe e90's prior to March production had 2nd generation I-drive. I believe the Bluethooth might have been updated as well...

I don't know which s/w release I have, but my car is April 8 production. How do you check the s/w release? I don't have I-drive.

Have just connected an HTC Kaiser (also know as HTC TyTn II) to my E90 - works fine and transferred phone book. Better than my old iMate kJam since signal strength works!! Now I need to connect my wife's new Ericsson K810i!

Connected my T-Mobile Dash the other day, works perfectly including displaying my contacts and caller ID on screen for incoming calls. After using it so heavily so far I realized the bluetooth is definitely a must have option IMO.

Just got 335ci with software version 2007-2. It completely paired all my data from my Treo 70WX! I know in the past there have been threads saying it only paired the speed dial entries.

I know the Kaiser is similar to the AT&T Tilt (8925) , did anyone try to pair the Tilt to their E90?

To clarify: the phone can be used through the radio/handsfree Bluetooth system (I don't have iDrive), but the contacts do not transfer over. My old Nokia 6230i used to work just perfect... |

Probably already know but SE K810i works fine
I said in my last post that my HTC TYTN 2 worked fine but I would have to try my wife's Sony Ericsson k810i - well it works fine, pairs, transfers phone OK etc!

For those interested in this phone, I paired a Sony Ericsson W950i with my progman v27 E90 this morning.
No issue to report yet but connection, phonebook transfer and calls were all straight forward. The only niggle is that the phonebook is sorted by surname/firstname rather then firstname/surname as it is on my phone. Strangely, with my last phone the S.E K750i , the phonebook was as the same as the phone after transfer. Anyone know if this can be fixed?

I have no idea if it would help anyone who has connection problems, but there is a Bluetooth software update.
I had my car in for regular service and the dealer updated it. The only difference I noticed in bluetooth is that the phone was connected quicker. In the past, it often took 3 or 4 minutes before the phone icon appeared. now it appears almost immediately. On displaying first name vs. last name, I don't think you can change the way the car reads your phone book. But when I got a new phone with this car, it forced me get organized on how many Outlook Contacts list is organized. My phone (a motorola Q) syncs up with Microsoft Outlook which also has all of my email contacts. After I figured out the best way to organized outlook, i have it working really well for all 3 screens: computer, phone and car. I have to say that it is really impressive how well the car displays the phone book now. For example, if I have 3 numbers for someone -- home, office and mobile -- the car displays all 3 with an (h), (o) and (m) next to the name.

My setup took a minute. I just sat down with the BMW manual and the Q and it synched up first time.
Things to try... In the Q, select Start and look for Q's Bluetooth profile -- look at Settings and make sure it is ON Look at the Q's Bluetooth Hands Free settings -- you may need to add one. Select Menu-Add. (I have one for the car and one for a headset). After you have created one for the car (create your own name), then select the car's Communications - Bluetooth selection and look for a device. It should find the profile you created in the phone.
