X35d turbo / Dpf problems

Hiya
Need to pick your brains really.
A few months ago, my nephews 635d had loss of power on the smaller first turbo, no warnings or anything on the dash, the garage said it was the pressure regulator and the Dpf was really badly clogged too, although no Dpf warning, so they did a regeneration.
Car ran fine for a few weeks and same thing happening, so taken it back in and they are saying the Dpf is clogged again, possibly it was so badly clogged last time that it wasn't enough, or possible Dpf problem, but suggest trying another clean and see how it goes.
Any of you experienced this with your X35d engines?
And does it sounds possible with what they are telling me, or could it be something else?
Thanks in advance for your help.

If they charged you for regenration then they should do it agin FOC especially if it happened only weeks after first problem.

I'd request them print out of diagnostic results / codes.
