I'm honored that El Supremo has chosen to troll various forums looking for past history about some unfortunate dealings we've had with some customers - be they entirely our fault or not.

I'm also honored that you would have such high esteem for your own individuality of thought to drag more mud on your own behaviour.

I'm not going to hide the fact that many on a particular forum don't appreciate all that we have done - they are guided by their own "ideals" - most of which are known only to them.

We have never ever ever taken money from a customer without giving them the same worth of product in return. Just this weekend, I spent 2 hours fixing a customer's botched install for free because I felt bad for his situation - Shenendoah is his name if you need a testimonial...

As well as the obvious and more recent refutation of events of the past. I personally work my tail off for the customers and will always do so, as is clearly evidenced by the most recent respect given to my business by customers that we have acquired since our break from our old supplier/partner. I attribute many of my ills in handling situations to the direct association with that supplier - the fun of which you are welcome to read here (if you are into that sort of drama, at least see both sides).

As always, internet drama is what many people with nothing else to do thrive on. If you are bored, enjoy. Just click on this last paragraph and a half.
<-- this link you'll have to register but you'll be rewarded (using this term loosely).

Personally, I hope the admins on this forum remove my link and the links of any others that attempt to stir drama for no reason other than their own amusement.

But, for the people that believe in our service and are respectful, there's a long list of happy people that aren't from 2+ years back. I won't dignify the rest with any response.

We've been in business for 5 years, we've had many growing pains - some bad employee management, some bad shipping decisions, but we've always corrected everything no matter what. Additionally, we have some great employees now - we ship nearly 40 headlights per week, with about 600 shipments per month. It's never about the money - it's always about doing what's right. And we always do what's right.

That's why our local customers are ALWAYS dropping in for unannounced visits and chats and even purchasing stuff. The internet can blow the best and worst out of proprotion very easily. Your reputation on the internet is like an EKG, some weeks you can do no wrong, and others you are the pit of the world.

That's life. We encourage all customers to actually talk to us before believing what some very mean-spirited ex-partner driven drivel is posted.

-------------------------------------
-------------------------------------
On with the show for the intake.
We will have 10 units in stock in about 1 month. Carbon Fiber for 10 units, FiberGlass for 6 units at an assumed price about $449.

Having looked at the price of 749 Euros charged for this same unit, this pricing is favorably compared to that, as well as favorably compared to other intakes that are carbon fiber.

Simota intends for these units to be sold at specific MSRP pricing (which we are actually discussing with them to lower). If you wish to confirm with Simota, you can do so by contacting us and we'll give you the information in private of whom to contact.

Thanks for all of those of you that have emailed us - but we are really only looking for people in the local vicinity of our shop. If you decide you WANT to purchase the unit, you will receive it for a good discount. But you are NOT obligated to do so.

That's the plan We've had some hiccups with SIMOTA quality along the way, we're still working on the RX8 intake with them and some customers as well.

But their BMW intakes have never given us any cause for concern. Probably because they mostly make BMW ones - they have over 23 different BMW models as compared to the second most developed for make of VW at roughly 12 units (4 of which fit 8+ cars).

Dude, I don't need you to teach me on that. Just my challenge. I've driven BMW for almost 18 years. Don't you think I know gaining more HP on a BMW is not just a simple modification? If BMW let people do that easily, they should've been out of business.

Where does the filter go into that thing? It looks like it mounts on the MAF sensor on one end, and then goes to the kidney grill plastic air shroud. It doesn't look like there is enough room for a filter inside it.

What kind of filter does this thing have??? As with any intake, the filter is the most important thing. I don't want some cheapo filter that lets oil, dirt, and dust into my brand new e90 more than is needed. The best filter is a foam filter like the ITG filter (from conforti intakes), and the K&N filters are ok, though not the greatest. Anything else, especially those EBAY type filters, are crap and not worth the minimal hp increases (and I mean a couple of hp only), if any, that they would provide.

So what kind of filter does this thing use??

here you go for the filter information:

If the print is too small, and it is for me, just change the URL link to remove the "sized" in the url.

Guys, I'm sorry, been away from the forum and not getting updates on email.

We have the non-CF in stock. We need a test car, we're willing to give you the intake for 50% off retail if we can do a lot of photography and you are local.

Please come by if you are interested.

CT - the non-CF version posted above doesn't have any SIMOTA labeling.
Just so we're clear, which second opening?

Again, I have to see the E90 330, but that would have to be the HFM opening wouldn't it?

Yeah, something off the brake duct would work well.
