Windshield crack, damn it!! Any recommendations?

Wife was running some errands and came back with a crack on the windshield after the car hit a rock on Main St. in Alhambra.

Should I take the car back to the dealer and see how much it will run? Or should I have another 3rd party replace the glass. I got a recommendation of "Safelite" so I am awaiting a quote on replacement. Also did some research and found that the 335i glass is weak, anyone else have this issue?

Let me know any recommendations.

Thanks.
