I haven't made it to a dyno or logged for virtual dyno, but guessing around 380/400 from NoGuru's numbers:

I have. You will have to cut parallel slits in the rubber to make it through them.

Once you get it in you will like it. It is not pretty like a top brace, but it works.

If your on Facebook look up BMW 335is 2011-2103, I have pictures in the photo album.

Thanks man! That's what I was about to do last night but figured I'd ask first before taking the knife to it.

Looked y'all up on FB but didn't see any photos of it..

I have looked and you are correct, I don't see them and I don't know what happened. I have checked my phone and laptop, heck they may be in my camera, if I find them I will post. Once you cut the slits, then it should go pretty smoothly, other than putting everything back together.

Haha np man, I already cut those slits and got the center piece in there. I'm stuck on the serpentine belt now for us lol, there's so much more shit in the way I'm not sure if I wanna deal with by myself.

Just bought 335is

So I don't have it officially yet but I bought it today and it'll get shipped from Michigan to Cali. 2011 335is, 6mt. Also still have E46 M3, recently sold F80. I missed the turbos and came across a steal (IMO). 40k miles in very awesome condition.

Has anyone ever installed the Dinan CAI on one of their 335is? I know they were at one point supposed to come out with a fix but not sure if they actually did. I understand that a DCI is probably better, but carbon is sexy.

ECS has a carbon DCI/Closed box kit that I've had my eye on for awhile now.

Be careful with the DCI my old 335i went into limp mode a few times on long drives when it was hot outside. Some say this is a common problem others disagree either way I have not put them on my 335is.

Thanks for the input. Ive never been a fan of dci, your experience only cements that. Ideally I would go gruppe M, but 2500 bucks is unbelievable for a intake. One day. Turns out Dinan makes one specifically for the 335is, but you need to buy their oil cooler and replace the aux radiator with that. That would be a $3000 road, so gruppe m sounds more reasonable

Either are a pretty poor $/hp compared to about any other mod you can make. Intercooler will do far more for IATs since your Turbos are heating the intake charge.

There's a ton of power to be had without touching the air cleaner box.

I already have a Wagner intercooler. Just wanted to get an intake. Also make the engine bay look sexier with carbon
