Help with idrive: random ipod playback

How do you do it? I've played around with every option I could find but I can't get the damn thing to play randomly when played through my 2011 e92 335xi.

I read in the owner's manual to just select "random" but I can't find that option anywhere.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hit the option button on the idrive controller when you are in your playlist or whatever. You should see the option for random.
