Question about power gains
Probably a dumb question but I'm currently on MHD stage 2 with an E30 mix with catless dps, car runs great and is very fast but will be getting a VRSF 5in and a VRSF charge pipe w/ blowoff valve soon. How much of a power gain will the two of these combine make? Eventually will get around to doing a stage 2 fuel pump so I can run e50 also but for now should be a nice little increase in power, the motor and turbos on the car have less than 15k miles so I want to get a custom tune and get the most out of the stock twins

i dont think that you will feel any difference in power, but it will keep the IATs down and it might spool and hold boost a bit better ( depends on how bad were your stock dvs and chargepipe)

How much power different between stage 2 and stage2+? Read the MHD doc.
http://mhdtuning.com/downloads/MHD%2...ER%20GUIDE.pdf Stage 2 lists 370->440 as the range. Chargepipe doesn't result in any performance gain. The 5" intercooler just isn't big enough, you might see 10whp but the gains you'll see will be from running a different map. Do it once with a 7.5" race and be done. On the matter of the pump, do the fuel system once. Get a stage 3 setup and you'll never have to open the gas tank again. For reference, on the e50 OTS tune I made 456whp but I also had relocated inlets and a bigger intercooler (which is for sale, pm me). Good luck.

No gains. Only prevents power loss. CP is just for strength. Now go tell your friends you're up another 50whp.

Do it once and do it right. Saves you alot of time and money down the road even if you DIY. I would add some relocated passenger side inlets while you are at it. Just saves you relocating the coolant tank when you go single turbo, also that mod will at least free up some HP for you. |
