Put xHp on my tranny. Just stage 1 for now. It's winter here in Michigan. I don't need the rear tires spinning any faster than they need too 😉
It took a while to install. Probably because of my older Samsung Tablet. Also, xHp didn't like my certified INPA cable I bought from Reingold. So, I had to use the blue cable from Carly. That one worked. This got me thinking that I might need to invest in the beemer geeks cable. I might put stage 2 on this summer. You have to wait 50 miles, after install, before you start pounding on the car to to see a difference, which I did. I think I might have waited 100 miles just to be safe. The trans oil in the car is only 10,000 miles old & I did a complete flush of the torque converter when I did it. Probably a good idea, if your going to do a trans flash, have fresh fluid in the tranny (all 9-10qts worth ). I've got 160,000 miles on her! I do think the engine & shifts run considerably smoother in D. I put it into S to pass some old fart doing 10 under the speed limit, on a back road. I was like holy "torque" Batman. I'm seeing how much better the gas milage is with stage 1. It might be hard to tell since the winter gas, in the "cold" states is Sh@t, even with 93 octane which is all I run year-round anyway. |

Was early yesterday morning, but completed a 673 mile round trip drive to pick up some 18" style 287 wheels to put summer tires on. Wish I could have been on the throttle more through Ontario farm land, but wary of higher consequences for speeding in Canada.

Wetsanded and polished out my DIY repainted trim. It looks much better, very pleased with the final results.

And yeah, my center console is gloss black so it will match well. Gives the driver-centric items a cool theme Rest of the trim is brushed aluminum. Last edited by 6ixSpd; 02-23-2019 at 09:13 PM.. |

Charcoal filter delete and a silicone intake boot. I think it's better? It's fine.

Tried to fit an E46 325 cargo cover to my E91, and it is damn close. The pillar clips are the same and the dimensions are absurdly close. Too long by about 1/4". Going to try to shave the ends, and maybe do something to the receivers, too. The rods that connect the cover to the hatch slots are also a little too big, a little too long, but are cut/trim-able. There's also a small plastic extension bit along the long back edge that I'll need to trim probably an inch from to fit around the pillars, but that should be easy, and it should all work.
I will try to make this work because... it was $5.40 at the salvage yard. Better than the $500 or so they're going for around here lol. |

Depending on the year of your E91 you might also want to shape the ends of the rods.
2007 and up the rods are cut into triangles, with a flat against a small protrusion in the slot. 2006 and older used a round rod with something in the slot to catch it. Took a while to figure this out and modify my 2006 cover so it would stop sliding up in my 07 car |

Installed BMS DCI last night! Took me much longer than I expected it to, but I'll blame that on me overestimating my mechanical abilities
Overall love the sound it makes, but haven't gotten the chance to drive much because I finished the install around 3AM and just took it for a quick drive to make sure my car ran/wouldn't fall apart. |

Installed BimmerLife coil kit. Holy shhhmokes, i thought the car ran smooth before, now its unbelievably smooth!
I didnt have any issues with misfires or anything, just happened to pick up them up during Black Friday sale and just got around to installing them. I did have to modify the coils a bit as they didnt sit all the way down, but it was pretty easy to do. |

Today I finished up my front suspension overhaul. In the past few weeks I've replaced the rearward front lower control arms, frontward front lower control arms, sway bar end-links, headlight level sensor, and headlight level sensor rod. Really irritating to remove bolts that haven't moved since 2008, but with the help of an impact, it went smoothly. After an alignment, the car drives much better. Final item on my suspension list is the rear shocks, which should get done next weekend.

Replaced all my control arms on my 202,000 mile 335. Removing the old ones I was nervous I wasted my money since the bushings felt firm. But driving it - holy sh*t! Tracking is back! Next up: rear shock mounts.
