When I did my rears, i didnt even attach pad sensors, just zip tied them away. So the answer is probably No, old ones are fine Piston upgrades are recently discussed and I was surprised to see a bad review for once for the RB kit. Given that only 3-4 are on the forums with the kit, thats not cool. Other reviews of Stoptech, or similar piston kit were okay, nothing bad that i recall The Piston kits are probably worthwhile if one tracks alot & manages to damage the dust boots. Piston cracks are probably not far away. A tell tale sign is if the OEM paint is discoloured/faded. I want to see these done up in blue paint, i think Dr's calipers are perfect for you. He did most of the work already. I would perhaps do the //M decal like the F3x brakes. Mustard yellows can be sourced somehwat locally for okay price, not sure how they compare in price to BavAuto

Do you have the part no. for the rear caliper by any chance? BTW, how 'downgrade' is it? Any differences (pedal feel, stopping distance, ...) compared to OE? |

brembo brakes
If I could reply to the last post here, I probably could get you the part number for the caliper if needed, ( two calipers two numbers ).
But I have recently changed my cars from E92 to a F10 M5, and as I was trading it in they did not give me any money for my Brembos, Therefore I took it all of and now they are sitting in my garage waiting for sale at some point. Yes I have all of it, front calipers ( pads pins all of it ) and rotors, and the rear set up all the parts ( calipers, hardware, pads ) and floating rotors. So may be that would be the way for you to go ? Just to give you an idea of the wear, I did 900 kms on this set up on weekends only within 3 years that I have had the car, that's all, none on the track, don't have time for it. Again if you need the numpers for the calipers just let me know and I will get them for you. Regards |

Very clean looking. Since I have a 328i, I am very interested on how you did the rears. PM me and we can chat if you are willing.
I put the BMW Performance pack on the fronts which are the same bit slotted and cross drilled. I really want that in the back but the kit is pre LCI only.

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=975919 What rotors are you using? What year is your car? Which rear caliper are you using - 335i or 135i? FYI on the last pages of that thread - see ECS links

Thanks ^^^ I have a 335 and I'm using the 135 performance brakes calipers and rotors. The fronts calipers and rotors bolt on with no problem. But the rear I can't get on, in this thread the op said he use 2013 528 rear rotors but the seem not to clear the e-brake. Maybe I'm missing something.

He did mention somewhere you have to adjust the ebrake adjuster bolt to be less in size

If you do any serious braking, you will experience serious fade.
