Anyone have experience with Angel Eye Guy? He's got a plug and play halo kit, no need for adhesive as it uses existing mounts.

I'm considering using these with cf eyebrows off of ebay.

Update: I placed an order for the kit. Also considering the Zkw-r clear Lens swap. I haven't found much detailed feedback, such as using spacers, photos showing cut off. I found one or two here and they weren't very convincing.

Just finished these up. I love the look of the stock LCI xenons, so I opted to keep the chrome. Painted the inner housing black and the eyebrow space grey so I don't have to deal with it later when it eventually yellows.

Post pictures once you've gotten them I'm interested in the mounts.

Yepp will do. I ordered Zkw-r lenses and am waiting for that and cf eyelids to arrive in the mail.

That looks really nice.
Do you black out the inside of the headlights by yourself, or bought it that way?

The OEM eyebrow doesn't turn yellow, that is the lens becoming damaged from UV light. FYI

I can finally add my headlights to this thread. I did not change anything besides for painting them and angel rings.

For those of you that build these often and have experience- do you recommend adding another breather vent? I have a problem with a small amount of condensation only when the car gets hot and outside air is colder. When I cleaned and put the new filter in the original vent, I may have overdone it. I think it doesn't vent as well as it should and the headlights do not leak anywhere. To avoid removing the bumper again I think these maybe a solution- https://www.theretrofitsource.com/bo...ent-Breather-B

Just saw this and this is exactly what I was thinking. Grey or silver highlight well off the LCI. Now I know what the finished product should look like when I'm done hahaha.

Just got to get off my butt and turn on my pieces into reality. How long did the disassembly take? Any tricks you could pass on as I started one afternoon and the seal was a butt-kicker and I never finished it up.

Hm, that's a good point. I never thought about it like that. Still glad I painted the eyelid though. Not a fan of the translucent plastic.

Yeah the seal was a definite pain the ass. I highly recommend reading Bavgruppe's guide:

Cool, never realized they posted the Goo gone/Acetone technique up there. Any trouble with it, or was it just as they said? Good to know I don't have to cut.

I guess one of these days I'll start finishing this project.

As a secondary question, how did you run your wiring?

Bavgruppe's kit is plug in play with the H8 plug. I just ran it through the backside of the inner housing. Totally hidden.

If you're like me, you're not really driving around much these days, so it'd be the perfect time to start. The adhesive remover helps a lot. I made the mistake of attempting without it and it was such a pain in the ass. You have to really be careful about getting acetone on the lens though, because it will damage the UV coating.

I gotta go look at the wiring again. I thought I remember a few extra stray wires...gotta review the install instructions again.

Lens I'm not as worried as I actually bought replacements. If I get past disassembly, I'll be a lot more confident. Assume you just stuck the new DTM lights on the front of the oem angel rings. Run into any issues with Adaptive Headlights or did you just code them out?

You know what, actually there was wiring to the turn signal for the switchback, but it was optional. PM me if you want the wiring diagram. I had to figure it out by testing out connections.

You don't want to stick the dtm lights ontop of the old angels for the low beam light. It won't fit. There's a slight amount of trimming you'll need to make which is linked on that tutorial.

It shouldn't require coding or mess with your adaptive lights.

Not sure if I've posted before. These are Lightwerkz painted gloss back, Umnitza V4 Rings (amazing quality), new CBB bulbs, ZKW-R clear lens.

This setup is now 7 years old. Amazing quality with all components. I've never had an issue. Recently replaced the 7 year old CBI bulbs for the Osram CBB's
