Hi scotty. How'd you find the sound quality of the music? I know you have HiFi but do your under seat speakers work? Did you fit it yourself? Where'd you pick up a 12v+ constant feed. Eonon have asked me to send the unit back to Hong Kong so I'm looking for a simple fix before I ship it out?

Sounds good to me, definitely will go louder than stock. And yes my underseat subs work. I did fit myself, I did not run a 12V, it holds all of my settings fine with the supplied harness. Maybe different years have slightly different wiring?

Great stuff. Maybe I just got a faulty unit or as you say, different years or maybe even because I have a EU model. Who knows. I guess I'll have to send it back. Not looking forward to the experience after seeing all the UK vauxhall guys comments on their service department

Do you have hifi or logic 7? Is there a speaker in the center of your dash?

Hi, I got a BMW E91 recently and I am interested in buying the eonon D5165 unit. However I am confused about the different compatibility issues and possible rewiring. I attached a photo of the cables on the back of my current HU. I only have 4 speakers in the car (2 in front and 2 on rear seats). There is none on the center so I believe I dont have a LOGIC7 amplifier. However I am confused about the fiber optic cable present there.

Anyone has experience installing this? and can explain me the connections needed to make it work?

thanks in advance

Thanks for your quick reply. Is it that easy? just plug and play?

does it keep the memory settings after the car is off?

What about that fiber optic cable? do you have it too?

Plug and Play? Yes. I did code out the SOS warnings otherwise you will get an SOS code on startup.

Memory Settings? Yes

I also had fiber optic cable.

I am pretty new at this, how do you "code out" the SOS?

Are you satisfied with the unit? I am thinking in ordering one right now.

You need to check the coding forum. Need special cable and software.

I life the unit, its not perfect but its good. Glare on the screen can be bad at certain times of the day.

Regret to tell you that your car cannot install our unit, since it has

Our unit does not support it at present. Your kind understanding and
great support will be very appreciated.

I have confirmed with our techs again, it does not fit.
Now I am confused :S

It would help if I get a photo of your installation cables in the back to show them.

Does everything works?

What is the function of the MOST network with the fiber optic in my car since I dont have a Logic7 amp?

Scottycs,

I noticed that you have your heated seat buttons moved down onto your console. Why did you do that if the eonon 5165 can control them through the touchscreen? Do both the moved console buttons and the touchscreen control you heated seats?

And did you have the HDC button (i think thats what its called - it keeps your car below like 4 mph when going downhill) on your car? On an e90, its on the same piece with the heated seats. I have the HDC button and am wondering if I will lose this function or if it will also be controlled through the eonon?

Because it is much easier than navigating through 3 screens to activate my heated seat. You can use either to control the seats.

I do not have the HDC button. You will need to purchase the same piece to retain your HDC button. I do not believe the Eonon will control that.

Should I Install it or Return it?

Hey guys. I have an 06 330i and I just got the Eonon D5165 from fedex 2 days ago. Its still in the box and now I'm debating on whether or not I should even put it in. You guys make it seem like its a piece of crap. This is my first car and I want it to perfection. My dad just got in a 2010 e90 328xi at his salvage yard yesterday and it has an oem nav. It had a light engine fire but the nav is still good. All I need to buy is a new dash. I was thinking of taking that and retrofitting it in my car. I heard its an extremely tough job to do. Any advice?
