I have had very good experiance on 2 ocasions with North Shore Classic in Artarmon, they did a perfect job on both my cars (Thought i would give them a go when i saw that they had 2 bentleys in there)
You might want to try Stow smash too, also in Artarmon, some people say they're great (I didn't, i thought they were rude and arrogant)

Go with Stow if they are good enough to do the Mclaren F1 and XJ220 and other exotics like Aston Martin, Ferrari, Porsche they are good enough to do your BMW (which they specalise in).
Exclusive Bodyworx in Granville are also great. |

yes its very risky not to get it insured but with that kind of money i'd rather buy some HRE's ;p btw astra are u lowered on coilovers or springs? love it very much... i'm waiting to get my iforged drift which is coming in 2 wks... still have no idea where to buy coils...any advise? |

I have Coilovers, and i love how they handle, and they are at the perfect height for me, cos the car is still driveable, but noticably low I bought my coilovers from the USA, because it worked out to be more economical to import them then to buy them locally. I did hear an ad on the radio the other day though, advertising a place which sells Bilstein coilovers and another brand (the name of which escapes me right now), also King Springs... They sounded like they would be reasonably priced... How much are you looking to spend is the main question? And what do you want to achieve? Coilovers you will never be having to buy new ones cos they are the wrong height/stance, but they will cost you more... Springs will cost you less, but you might not get exactly what you wanted with them btw, you shoudl come along to the sydney meet

we have a friend who insured under their parents name, with their name down for the secondary driver. they had an accident, and when they went to claim, the insurance company went and "investigated" behind these people's backs... the insurance people found out that the listed secondary driver was infact the primary driver, so they paid nothing! i used to risk it like this, until i heard this story but i still don't pay $7500!

I know we are getting a little off topic talking about insurrance companies but just remember that the primary job of an insurance company is not to pay out on claims. You might think you are insurred but the only time you know for sure is when you put in a claim. Let me assure you that if you fail to mention a traffic fine when you applied for your insurrance is good enougth for them to wipe you. The only liability they have to you in this extreeme case is to refund the premiums you have paid to date.
