Came across these wheels
Wheels for 3-series
Looks very familiar althought i can't really put my finger on where i've seen it before. maybe it's an 18" rep of the M3 ones? anyway price looks pretty reasonable just wondering if anyone's had any experience with this company before? |

Price is reasonable but the offset will be wrong for your car. Not too much of a problem but expect the wheels to be tucked further back into the guards.

Those are imitations of the 135M 18" wheels which were available with the E46 3 series M Sports package. The imitations your looking at are, as per most imitations simply replicas of the front wheel rather than both, as per all BMW 18"s they are staggered. From memory fronts are 235/40R18 and rears are 255/35R18. Here's a pic of my car with the 135M's on them.

Hey got a set of those for my E46 which I've just swapped onto the new E90.
Got them last year with Nankangs and delivered for $1200 ......which I thought was damn cheap. These are the same guys. Not sure if they're doing at the same prices, but I would recommend. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/BRAND-NEW-18-...QQcmdZViewItem |

$1200 is very cheap but Nankang tires don't inspire a lot of confidence (to me anyway). Check the load rating on he tyres to see if they comply with the BMW spec on the tire placard located in the pillar as you open up the drivers door. You may not be aware but in the event of an accident, not having the right load rating on your tires might just void your insurance. Something to be mindful off because then a bargin no longer becomes a bargin.
FYI .... my brother put a set of Nankang tires on his XR8 ute and the car was a disarster to drive in the wet. Dry weather was OK but in the end he found them too dangerous and got rid of them for Toyo proxy's. |

hey guys, yeah thanks for the welcome.
I will check through the load rating, good point. Hadn't considered the insurance aspect of that to be honest. I was just stoked to get rims with rubber for such a good price. Didn't care too much about Nankangs (as your right they don't inspire too much confi). About to replace them anyway. Made a good point too on them being tucked back further into the arches on the E90 due to offset. I'll take some piccies to show how they look and post em (when I review my load ratings). cheers |

Welcome to the forum Dart. Good to see another Brisbane member here!!! Now that the Brisbane numbers are growin, we must organise a meet in the new year.
You might be lucky and discover the load ratings match but these Ebay package deals are generally slapped together with the vendor concerned with only making a profit and not your safety as their priority. Tire shops have a legal obligation to ensure what they fit to your car complies. I'm not saying there ain't dodgy guys out there but most know their stuff and do the right thing. |
