my friggin car got towed!!!

i was parked at Surry Hills at one of those clearway lanes that start at 3.

to cut the long story short, i only managed to get out of the office at 3.15 and when i got to the street my car was gone!

first thing that came to my mind - did i lock my car when i got out? did it get nicked????

then i asked some of the construction workers along the street if they saw anyone towing a white bmw away and they told me they saw it and that i should hunt round the area coz what they do is they tow your car away, park it in a legal area and leave it there.

so that's what i did... went searching around. Thank God i saw the tow-er round the corner and he told me exactly where my car was...

no scratches (none that i could see anyway) but i'm expecting a nice big fine

anyone got towed before? do you know how much it'll set me back?

That has got to suck I am waiting for the day when it happens to me... I can only get 1 hour parking outside my uni, and always go over the time limit (those bastards are always patrolling the streets...)

You are very lucky that there is no damage done to your car, as they don't seem to care what happens to the car

KVB... is that the Raffles College? I think I've heard of it because the Raffles company is from Singapore... and I'm from Singapore

good luck!!!

what are you studying there anyway?

but back to the towing thing... I am glad that there werent any cosmetic damages... the guy who did the towing was pretty friendly though...

i'm more worries that it would've messed with my suspension and/or drivetrain... but the slip they gave me did specify that they towed from the back.

i did a lot of driving today around north syd and the eastern suburbs and didn't feel much difference so fingers are very crossed now

It'd be under warranty right? I wouldn't worry about it.
