Valve cover advice (bolt issue)

Just wondering if anyone has dealt with this.

My valve cover gasket needed replacing. Ever since I bought the car I have smelled a slight oil burning smell, however the source has always eluded me. Then it finally got bad enough to where I could find the leak, and it was the far back passenger side corner of the valve cover gasket. The reason this is significant is because the reason for the leak was that this bolt hole was stripped. I discovered this when I went to take the bolt out.

So what did I do? I found out what kind of bolt it was, then drilled, tapped and helicoiled the hole. Wasn't too bad, except when I finished and put it all back together, I found out the source of information for the correct thread size was incorrect (I actually checked multiple sources). I repaired the hole for an M7-1 bolt, when it appears to in fact be an M7-.75 bolt.

The only real solution at this point would be to use the size bolt I repaired the hole for. Finding the correct type of bolt (material, length and thread) is a lot more difficult than I expected.

Any advice on this would be very helpful. Anyone ever dealt with this or have a source for correct type fasteners?
