Headlight Cover replace

Is there any way to replace the plastic cover on the headlights? Or do you have to change the whole unit out? Thanks!

You'd have to source OEM lenses from somewhere, I don't think BMW sells them separately, then you'd have to bake your headlamps to get the current lenses off and then replace them.

Maybe contact ECS and let us know?

They have the E46 headlight lenses: http://www.ecstuning.com/ES172830/

Maybe our cars are still too "New" to have enough of a market for these. I am looking for them too though

It's not going to happen. E46 headlight lens clips onto the headlight assembly, so they are easily replaceable. E9x headlight lens is sealed, so the only way to get it off is by baking the whole assembly and pry it off.

I know it won't fix deep chips but I am going to give this a shot on my fogs: Mothers Powerball

Since I went to HID fogs, the lense looks very chipped and bad. My headlights are pretty clear though.

Shazmonkee, check out 3M's headlight restoration kit (available on amazon) as well. It's got rave reviews.

i can replace the lenses for you, but its a LOT of work - 5-6 hours. you will also need to find a replacement headlight so i can use the lenses from that.

The 3M kit doesnt work well. It leaves noticeable (though not very deep) scratches which should really be fine polished with 2 more steps of polish/pad grade and finally sealed with a sealant.

Im definitely going with 3M clearbra film over the lenses in the future, imo it should be applied at the factory.

Mark, could you fix my cracked lens? If I have xenons, can I use the lens from a halogen light?

Important to note that those only fit halogen headlights. I bought a set of them to install on my xenons and the they don't fit due to being a different shape and it lacks the mounting points that secure part of the inside of the housing.

I went though the same myself. There is only replament lenses for the coupes, not the sedan lights.

If either of you need new E90 halogen lenses, let me know. I have this exact pair of lenses that I thought would fit my xenons, but they do not. I'd be willing to let either of you guys have them for cheap.

Sorry I sent them back to the seller for a refund. But these look very similar to the ones I had (may want to msg the seller to confirm fitment):
