can't say i've experienced any of this. In fact I haven't noticed any symptoms other than just finding oil in one of the spark plug welds when replacing the coils.

IIRC it had all the gaskets.
It's been fine for 40K miles. I'm about to pull it off to replace the ESS that I installed when I did the cover. I'm going to slap new cover gaskets on it and leave the rest. |

Of course that policy is to cover his ass in the event that the old VC got cracked while replacing just a VCG. Saves him doing the labour for free if he has to go back and replace the VC.
