no im not. Was at bimmerspeed yesterday, we did a quick coil pack exchange on the misfiring cylinder, didnt reall help. We have known for the week that my secondary 02's (after cats) are mixed up from when i put stock downpipes back on for service. And we took a look at some numbers, which i dont recall what the parameter was, however, he informed me that they werent suppose to be fluctuating. gonna put my aftermarket pipes on sunday, switch the sensors around and then take it back in monday. He basically said the computer is confused because of that lol. i am not running e85, jus DCI's and jb3

sounds like you need new injectors.

I had a similar problem.

well, idk if this merely relates, but i put my catless downpipes back on, with o2 extenders, and well my check engine light went away and the car is fine once its "warm" cold starts i still get that feeling of a miss, and some body shaking.

where is the car suppose to idle? mine idles at 600 when cold, then a lil over 700 when warm....

Thread revival!
My VIN has only one open recall: wiring for blower motor.
However, I have index 6 injectors, N54, E90 produced August 07. That falls within the recall parameters. What gives?

Has anyone else not qualify that should?

I feel like BMW just forgot my VIN.

Index 6 in 8/2007 build means injectors have been replaced already

Thanks for your input. Yes, I do see warranty injector replacements, but not under emissions recall. The oldest revision of the SIB I could find, and appears to be the original version, is dated Dec 2010. It lists index 1-7 as needing replacement. So even if mine was one of the first cars done, it should still be 8 or newer. Also, I've got BMW pulling the complete service history. They don't ever show it was done nor that my car is part of the recall (it should be IMO). Frustrating.

I was told by BMW that doesn't work like that. Let's assume your 8/2007 rolled out with index 1 that were replaced with index 6 either under warranty or recall because at that time there weren't higher index injectors available. That ends it. Your VIN will be removed from the list. It's same with the turbos. BMW won't replace them twice. At least not automatically by you going to the local BMW dealer. Maybe if you open a case with BMW and prove that injectors are malfunctioning then they will.
