AU 335i Coupe - NV58 DFZ
Just wondered if anyone off here owned this previously and if so any info as considering purchase.
My only reservation is 3 owners on the log book, first reg Dec 2008. It's got all the toys except Nav and has 36K on the clock. I have been offered a very strong PX against my 130 - the creen price is £22,600. Cheers

I don't know why 3 owners would put you off. On a high spec car - people tend to buy in warranty and then sell on before warranty is up etc.

True. The car will come with 12 months approved warranty plus the balance of manufacturers until Dec this year.
With some of the stories on here about failed turbos or the odd rogue car I guess just being careful.

Looking across the BMW approved stock it's one of the cheapest as per the Stratsone price promise, yes I could get the same car cheaper form an independant but as you have pointed out the PX would be £2K less so I end up about equal - the main benefit of sticking with approved is the warranty followed by convenience as my own car has finance outstanding which they will settle.
I'm a little undecided as i do prefer manuals but having said that it drove lovely especially using the paddles, funny how opinions can change as I had a 335D previously and sold that in my desire for a manual.

are you joking, 22k and no nav?
You can have my December 2006 with 30k on the clock with nav for 16k Also you can take out a warrantee for any 335i as long as its under 60k for 48 quid per month. |

Took me ages to find an ED model 335i M Sport coupe in black with manual gearbox and 'NO' nav.. Dont like the BMW system. Much prefer my TomTom touch screen for the very rare occasions I use nav.
If I order a new 335i, it will have sunroof and heated seats, but no nav!! There may be an immaculate black coupe available with 20K less miles, and a fair bit cheaper soon

It's more than just nav though. iDrive and control over the car's systems. And in iDrive2 version it's very good - hard drive, music, etc, etc, etc. I certainly wouldn't buy a car in that class without it. And you don't have to faff with suction cup brackets, smears all over the screen, power cables. Yes TomTom is better but...

Lol.. No one gonna buy a 335i without nav..
No one is gonna buy pre ED either with £460 road tax.. Certainly no one is gonna buy a lowely SE version.. Or any version without full leather trim and 19" wheels! Looks like there are gonna be very few cars out there to choose from. Guess I will have to keep my own 335i for ever, cuz it would never sell without nav.. Utter bollox!!!! The 335i at the start of the thread is worth every penny of £22k.. It's on a 58 plate. Main dealer AUC. Excellent spec and condition, with low mileage. The right colour combo!! They dont hang around long at that price!! I guess the replies from owners saying dont buy without nav got the best, newest ultimate spec cars on this forum.. Not

There is an ideal spec, but many people do not like idrive, even if they have not tried the newer versions. I do not have nav but never feel I am missing out, as Tomtom is more useful IMO And only required on 50% of journeys There is something nice about being in a car such as a 335i and just driving. Not fiddling with gadgets etc. All cars will have pro's and cons but I fail to see how people seem to rate nav as the be all and end all of the desirability of a car. Nice wheels and low milage would supersede the nav or no nav- but then I'm bias before someone points out. |

There are not queues of people outside dealers trying to buy 3 year old 3 litre 3 Series at the moment - so haggle hard. If you are not bothered about nav then take advantage of this and grab a good deal. The fact they've been so generous on PX suggests they realise £22k is a bit rich..

That 335i is just 2.5 years old. Wont even require it's first mot untill December. Cant believe it's lost best part of £20k in such a short period.
Bit of a bargain with a full AUC warrantee at just £21.7k. I bet if it had been manual it would have already sold!! http://www.stratstone.com/vehiclesea...ngsourceid=203

I passed on the car as I was getting nervous about issues etc, they now have dropped it from £22644 to £21764 thanks to the previous poster who kindly pasted the link.
Nav doesn't bother me in the least I've had BMW both with and without and still use the Tom Tom LOl !! Going to hang fire for a while. Thanks for all the advice
