well you have to know when the exhaust gets hot after some driving, the heat and expanded metal will push out the exhaust a little bit, not much but maybe about 1/2" or so. cold start/cold exhaust always looks a little tuck in and short, but after let's say 30 mins driving or so, you can go look at the exhaust again and they will look more "extended" to you. if you were to stick them out too far to begin with, after driving, the exhaust may stick out too far and may not be your liking.

OP,
If you said you for sure ordered the e92 PE exhaust, and they shipped you the wrong one(e90), then YOU should hold the dealership responsible, period. Make them responsible for everything that went wrong from installing the wrong type of exhaust on the wrong car. Just bc you had work done at the dealership, doesn't mean they know what they're doing or talking about, a lot of times it's quite the opposite.....sad but true!

to be honest it doesnt look bad to me... its pretty similar to my install and the one my friend got as well.. i dont know why you are afraid to talk to the tech at your own dealership. you dont have to go at him like "HEY YOU MESSED IT UP!" just ask him nicely, say that you had hoped the exhaust would stick out more and if there is anything he can do to make that happen.
if you do decide to take it to another place, take it to a muffler shop and have them extend the stock pipes where the clamps go. dont cut/extend the tips of the muffler if you plan on selling it after |
