I don't have the funds for a new amp. is there any other options to try to get rid of the humming noise from the speakers? It is driving me crazy.

Did you have this sound before you changed things?

Did you have this sound before you changed things?
One trick is to remove the inputs to the amp and see if the noise goes away.
Another is to use another source to inject sound into the amp and see if it sound right.
cd player or ipod.

If both these tests pass then maybe you should look into a device that converts balanced inputs into the kind your amp accepts. Technic is the expert on these things so
I would follow his advice above mine.

You most likely need to convert your balanced outputs to unbalanced, look for a converter.

I recently switched out my headunit and it is much more convenient now that I don't have to worry about balanced signals, and I have 3 pairs of rca outputs. I took out the MS8 at the same time and now I have both of my amps plugged straight into the head unit. Midbass definitely improved and the sound quality isn't much different.
