BMW audio options and stereo a bit weak?

So in my 335i, I had the Logic 7 audio - and in my X3 35i, I have the hi-fi audio option as well. (The best you can get on it)

Now, for some reason, the audio in my 12' autobahn GTI with dynaudio speakers is so much better than both BMW's mentioned. The sound is just fuller, a bit clearer, the bass is better, all around. I also tried a new 535i and that was the same as the other BMW's as well.

Has this been anyone else's experience? Maybe my BMW audio is just not setup properly?

Maybe you like the sound of the GTI's system better? Try lowering the bass or try a preset function, IMO

There is a sticky for L7 setup at the top of the page

(in the audio sub forum see link below)
The Hi Fi system is mediocre for a 50k car at best.
I think they made a major mistake in not allowing for
bigger door speakers like they had in the e46 it sounded
a lot better to me .

If you want to change either

I thought they offered L7 as and option on a X3.
Sorry
sticky for the l7 setup is at the top of the page in the
audio subforum where this thread should be)

Yes, your ears are not being fooled. The stereo system on the 3-series does blow chunks so that's why I got BSW Stage 1 speakers installed. It's no B&O but it's so much better than OEM.

Now I just to change the weak subs to Earthquakes someday...

I had logic 7 in my last 335 as standard. I thought it would come standard in my current car, but didn't and it's bad enough that I'm starting to really dislike my car.

consider yourself lucky

i can also attest to the fact that my VW CC Dynaudio system sounded waaaay better than the L7/HK in my 335. the bmw system is not terrible, but definitely not worth extra cost, IMO.
